Autism assessments for adults FAQs.

Commonly asked questions.

Yes. Our clinicians are experienced in identifying masking in adults and use a combination of structured tools, observation, and information from people who know you well to build an accurate picture.

We assess an equal split of male and female clients annually and regularly see how differently autism can present across sexes, something that's often missed elsewhere. All clinicians undertake ongoing CPD to stay current with research in this area.

An observer is a partner, friend, relative, or colleague who knows you well and can help describe how you think, communicate, and manage daily life. Their input, combined with your own, helps build a fuller, more balanced picture for our clinicians

You will be invited to a feedback appointment with your assessor to discuss the outcome, findings and next steps / recommendations.

Yes, in some cases this is recommended, as a cognitive profile can add useful context to a broader diagnostic picture. We can discuss this during your initial consultation.
