How to make a referral for Private Psychological Therapy
Oakdale boasts a diverse team of practitioners, carefully selected for their qualifications and specialised areas of expertise. Among them are both Oakdale employees and Private Associate Practitioners, all of whom adhere to stringent standards of clinical care under a Franchisee Contract.
Oakdale On-line Referrals: Below are two links to our online referral forms which enable people to provide Oakdale with details about themselves and the reasons they require support.
This referral form is to be completed by people wanting to access privately funded therapy through Oakdale.
This referral form is to be completed on behalf of somebody else. This may be a child or a vulnerable adult who does not have the capacity to make a referral themselves.
We acknowledge that for some people completing an online referral process is challenging. Our Case Management Team is available via 01423 503080 within office working hours to support people where required.
Once a referral is submitted, Oakdale’s Case Management Team uses the information provided to match the client with a practitioner who can offer the support they require. We aim to respond as soon as possible to all online referrals; this is typically within one working day.
After referral, the Case Management team will liaise with clients to help them understand arrangements and fees for the support they have chosen to access.
Oakdale is unable to provide psychiatric support. For comprehensive medical diagnosis and psychiatric treatment of complex mental illnesses, we recommend Consultant Psychiatrists, who are medical doctors.
Oakdale is not able to respond to urgent mental health crisis needs. If you require this type of support we would ask that you contact your local NHS crisis team, GP or call 999.
