As Director of Quality and Regulation, Lee Clewett supports Oakdale in delivering safe, high-quality and well-led services. His role focuses on strengthening governance systems, enhancing quality, and supporting the effective oversight and management of regulated activity. He works closely with members of the leadership team across the organisation to ensure services remain compliant, reliable, person-centred, and aligned with organisational values.

Lee brings over a decade of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement across public and independent healthcare settings. He has led initiatives that improve safety, embed robust governance frameworks, and support services through inspection, development, and change—helping teams build confidence and achieve stronger outcomes.

His approach is practical, clear-headed, and solution-focused. He aims to make governance accessible rather than overwhelming, working collaboratively with teams to develop processes that are proportionate, effective, and grounded in real-world practice.

Lee holds advanced qualifications in healthcare governance, patient safety, leadership, and occupational health and safety. He is an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, IOSH qualified, and trained as a Designated Safeguarding Officer. He is committed to supporting services that are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the diverse needs of the clients they support.
