Rhianna McDonald
I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse working in Oakdaleโs Neurodevelopmental Team. I support children and young people to better understand their neurodiversity through ADHD and autism assessments. I specialise in addressing mental health difficulties that co-occur with neurodevelopmental differences, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related difficulties, low self-esteem, and emotional dysregulation. I work in a structured yet flexible way that is accessible and responsive to individual needs. My practice is strengths-based and person-centred, considering the full range of factors that can influence a young personโs potential.
I hold a Bachelorโs degree in Mental Health Nursing and have registration with the NMC. I am trained in several therapeutic approaches that promote wellbeing and development, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and DBT-A skills. I am dedicated to supporting young people in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and accessing the support they need.
